South Island Akaroa

This week Miss Trask gave us a home work task where we had to choose a place in the south island.  And write an article on it, at first I had no idea where I should write about, so I asked my parents and they said I should write about Akaroa.

Akaroa is a small town in the south island. In the 1800 when the British had just declared the treaty of Waitangi had just been declared, the French were hoping to buy some land before the British did. They also needed a docking area for them to transport food. Fortunately for them they all ready had a ship heading forNew Zealand. So the French decided to buy a small town called Akaroa.

Once the French had cast anchor at Akaroa they mead an agreement with the Maori Chief. So the French returned home to collect the money. When the French returned the Maori Chief had sold it to someone else.

I think some where along the line the Maori sold it to the French. And today the village is both Maori and French.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood

Over the school holidays, I have been reviewing a game that I have wanted for months now. It is called Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.

The main point of the game is the struggle between the templar and the assassin is still going on. You play the main character Ezio who is the most wanted assassin at that time.

Ezio is hiding in a small town some were in Italy. He is in his bedroom with his wife, when all of a sudden a canon ball destroys the roof of his house. He rushes to his horse and rides to the town’s wall were he helps the assassins of the town. He uses one of the canons to destroy the templar boarding units. However, there is too many and they breach the city walls, were Ezio is shot.

He then wakes up in Roam were he is selected to train an elite brotherhood to defeat the leader of the templar.

This game I am hoping to get for my birthday on the 23rd of December. This game is for 15 and over, unless supervised by an adult or guardian           (for Xbox and playstation3 only)

bullying

Parents sometimes wonder why their children don’t want to go to school anymore, especially if the change is sudden and their child had been okay before. A reason could be because of bullying. Bullying can leave a child both emotionally & physically scarred, it can lead to a lifelong lack of confidence. Recently at school our teacher showed us a movie of a girl who was trying to stop bullying and to do this she asked for a meeting with John Key. The movie showed a fight between two girls, it was a really nasty fight and you saw one girl throw the other to the ground and start kicking her in the ribs really hard, she then took the girls hair and smashed her head on the concrete floor at least 5 or 6 times. It was a really nasty attack which knocked out the other girl but this didn’t stop the bully who started to kick her again. I couldn’t watch any more so I looked away and as I looked at the faces of my classmates I could see that they were as shocked as me.

The message that I want everyone to know is that if you see bullying is wrong and you can’t just walk away from it. It is everyones responsibility to try stop bullying.

MY FAVOURITE GAME

My favorite game is resistance2 you start the game in a army base that is under attack by aliens called chimera.  You are the main character whose name is Nathan hale. The objective for the first level is to destroy a giant metal robot called a Goliath, using the weapon called the lark. The lark is a rocket launcher with a unique ability to shoot a  rocket that brakes up into allot of smaller rockets. I wold tell you more about it but I don’t want to ruin the surprise just in case you get this game fore yourself. also this game can go up to 4 players and this is only available on ps3.Resistance 3 is coming out in may 2011 🙂 .

KILLER AT THE BEACH

It was a dutiful sunny day, and it was my turn to choose where we were going to go. But my brother didn’t want me to choose. He wanted to go to the pools. But his try’s to persuade my parents were effortless. We arrived at the beach I ran across the sand dunes. While I tried to keep my feet of the sand as much as I could, because the sand was like little balls of fire, burning the skin of your foot until it reaches your bone. And the waves had a never ending pattern of eating each other; there would be a small wave, which would be eaten by a medium size wave witch would be eaten by a large wave. By now I was sprinting towards the water. As I neared I noticed little blue bubbles all across the shore line. My parent shouted at me to get away from the water. I dug my feet into the ground to stop and I turned around.  My parents explained the bubbles were bluebottle jellyfish. The day ended by my obnoxious little brother getting his way and we went to the pools.

My favourite colour

Josh M bugatti

I have hundreds of favorite colours but blue tops them and to add more reasons to why I choose this  picture, is also because it includes my favourite car the Bugatti. One of the most fastest cars in the world it costs 2.5 million dollars and they have only made an estimate of 100 of these. I suggest you don’t get one of these unless you live in Germany where you can actuallyreach its max speed limit, which is roughly 500km/Ph
